Fine Art and Antiques Moving

Paintings, sculptures, antiques and heirlooms cannot be replaced, so they should not be packed like everything else. We wrap, crate and move each piece on its own, for collectors, galleries and families.

Art and antiques

Packing chosen for each piece

Framed paintings crack at the corners, canvases dent and old wood splits with sudden knocks. Each piece needs its own packing, chosen for its size, material and value.

We wrap artwork in soft layers, protect corners and glass, and build a custom wooden crate for anything fragile or valuable. Sculptures and antiques are padded and fixed inside the crate so they cannot move.

We move art for collectors, galleries and families, within Pune and to other cities. Moving a full home with a few special pieces? We add art handling to your household shifting.

Our method

Five steps for every piece of art

The same method for a small print or a large canvas. Only the crate size changes.

  1. 01

    Condition check

Each piece is photographed and its condition noted before we touch it.

  2. 02

    Soft wrap

Clean wrap and foam protect the surface, frame and any glass.

  3. 03

    Corners and edges

Foam corners and edge guards take the knocks that crack frames.

  4. 04

    Custom crate

A wooden crate is built to size for fragile and valuable pieces.

  5. 05

    Upright transport

Crates travel upright, secured on their own, never under other goods.

Before packing day

How to prepare your artwork for a move

A little homework before packing day protects your pieces and makes any claim simple.

  1. 01

    Photograph every piece

Take clear photos of the front, the back and any existing marks. They support the condition notes we make.

  2. 02

    Note the value

List the value of each piece, with invoices or valuations if you have them. Cover through our transit insurance is based on this declared value.

  3. 03

    Share sizes in advance

Measure large canvases and sculptures so we can build crates of the right size before the move day.

  4. 04

    Tell us about glass

Let us know which frames have glass, so we protect the glass before wrapping the frame.

  5. 05

    Keep pieces dry

Until packing day, keep art in a dry room away from bathrooms, kitchens and open windows.

  6. 06

    Mention heavy fixings

Large mirrors and heavy frames are sometimes hung on special brackets. Tell us in advance so the crew brings the right tools.
