Loading crew

Why loading needs a plan

Sofas scrape walls, fridges tip on stairs and cartons get crushed when a truck is loaded in a hurry. Our crew plans the order before anything moves: heavy furniture at the bottom and front, fragile cartons on top, and nothing left loose.

We use shoulder straps, trolleys, blankets and ropes, and we protect lift walls and door frames with padding where the building needs it.

You can hire the crew only for loading or unloading, for example when you have booked a truck yourself, or as part of a full move with packing and transport.

  • Stairs and lifts

Used to narrow stairways, small lifts and high floors without a lift.

  • Building protection

Padding on lift walls, door frames and floors where the building needs it.

  • Planned loading

Goods packed tight in the right order so nothing moves during transit.

  • Room-wise unloading

Every carton goes to the room written on its label at the new home.

  • On-time crew

The crew arrives at the agreed slot, so your truck and lift booking are not wasted.

Loading order

How we load a truck

We follow the same order every time, so heavy goods carry the load and light cartons stay on top.

  1. 01

    Heavy appliances first

Fridge, washing machine and almirahs go against the front wall of the truck.

  2. 02

    Large furniture next

Beds, tables and sofas stand on their side, padded and tied.

  3. 03

    Heavy cartons in the middle

Books, kitchen and tools cartons form a stable middle layer.

  4. 04

    Light cartons on top

Clothes, fragile and light cartons sit on the top layer.

  5. 05

    Gaps filled

Mattresses and cushions fill the gaps so nothing can slide.

  6. 06

    Tied off

Ropes and belts hold the load in place before the doors close.

Before the crew arrives

How to get your home ready for loading

A little preparation saves time on the day and keeps things smooth with your building.

  1. 01

Book the lift and inform the society

Societies often ask for notice before a truck arrives and the lift is used for goods. Speak to the manager a few days ahead and share the move date.

  2. 02

    Keep space for the truck

Keep a spot free near the gate so the truck can park close and the crew does not have to carry goods a long way.

  3. 03

    Clear the path

Move shoes, plants and small furniture out of corridors and doorways before the crew arrives.

  4. 04

    Disconnect appliances a day early

Unplug and defrost the fridge and drain the washing machine the day before, so they are dry at loading time.

  5. 05

    Keep children and pets safe

Keep them in a room away from the doors and stairs while heavy items are being carried.

  6. 06

Have one person guide the crew

One family member who knows what goes and what stays saves time and avoids mix-ups.

FAQs

Loading and unloading questions

Did not find your answer? Call or WhatsApp us and a move expert will help you right away.

Can I hire only a loading crew without your truck?

Yes. If you have booked a truck yourself, we can send a crew only for loading at pickup, unloading at delivery, or both.

How many people will come for loading?

It depends on the load and the building. A 1 BHK usually needs 2 to 3 people and a 3 BHK needs 4 to 6. We confirm the crew size in your quote.

What if there is no lift in the building?

Our crew carries goods by the stairs. Tell us the floor and stair width when you book so we plan the crew size and time correctly.

Do you take responsibility for damage during loading?

Our crew follows a planned loading method to avoid damage. For extra peace of mind, you can take transit insurance, which we help you arrange.

How long does loading take for a 2 BHK?

Usually 2 to 4 hours once packing is done. It depends on the floor, lift access and how close the truck can park to the building.

Do you charge extra for stairs?

Carrying goods up or down several floors without a lift takes more time and more people, so it is added to the quote. Tell us the floor when you book and the price is right from the start.
