Why heavy moves need a lift plan

Industrial moves go wrong when lifting is improvised. Before anything moves, our team visits the site, notes the weight and size of each machine, checks floor strength, door widths and vehicle access, and writes a lift and loading plan.

Depending on the load we arrange forklifts, hydraulic jacks, skates, cranes or low-bed trailers. Machines are skidded, lifted and loaded with the correct slings and tied down for the road.

Before the survey

What to share with us before an industrial move

The more we know before the site visit, the more accurate the plan and the price.

    A list of machines

    Share each machine's make, model, approximate weight and size. The nameplate or the manual usually has these details.

  2. 02

    Plans or photos of both sites

    They help us check door widths, floor strength and where each machine will stand at the new site.

  3. 03

    Access and working hours

    Tell us when vehicles can enter the site and whether the work has to happen outside production hours.

  4. 04

    Technician or OEM contacts

    Machines should be disconnected and commissioned by people who know them. Share their contacts so we can coordinate the day.

  5. 05

    Permits and gate passes

    Industrial estates and some plants need permits for cranes or heavy vehicles. Start the request early.

  6. 06

    Invoices and transport documents

    Commercial goods usually travel with an invoice or delivery challan and, above a set value, an e-way bill. Keep these ready for dispatch.

Can you move machines that weigh several tonnes?

Yes. For heavy machines we arrange suitable cranes, forklifts or hydraulic equipment and low-bed trailers, based on the weight and size recorded during the site survey.

Who disconnects and reinstalls the machines?

Your maintenance team or the machine manufacturer should disconnect and commission the machines. We handle rigging, lifting, packing, transport and placement at the new site.

Do industrial goods need an e-way bill?

Commercial goods above the notified value usually need an e-way bill. We tell you which documents are needed and help prepare the transport paperwork.
